This week, Lisa’s cover story in New York Magazine created a firestorm of press, including the New York Post’s screaming headline “I Was a Bad Mom.”
The mayor took issue with the Post and, at a press conference offered what the New York Times called “an unusual and stern rebuke.” The mayor also encouraged everyone to read Lisa’s article.
“I love my wife very deeply. She is an extraordinary mother. She always has been,” said de Blasio. “She very much wanted to have children, which is evident in the New York magazine article if anyone cares to read it and not caricature.”
